After market parts........

22/45 problem solved?

I have a 22/45 lite that I bought about 2-3 years ago. From the get go, it has suffered from feeding problems. Failure to load, failure to extract, smoke stacks, etc. A few months ago I bought an...

Nice work, keep working, you will eventually get it just right! Just be happy that you are working with a Miroku instead of an original Winchester. The inletting is much more complicated on the...

Preferred shooter.............

I have had both and personally, I like the Winchester Model 69/69A better as a shooter/field gun than a Model 75. Both take the same 5 or 10 shot magazine but the Model 69s are quite a bit lighter...

Low Wall but not 22LR

Almost 40 years ago I built a custom sporter from a somewhat abused Winder Musket. Had the barrel relined and chambered for 22 WMR, added the single set trigger parts, mounted a 6x24x50AO scope and...

My one and only...................

Anschutz, that is! I picked this one up from Gunbroker a couple of years ago and am completely happy with it. It is just light enough to be fun to shoot offhand, has sights that seem to work well...

Something different

Definitely not a Woodsman! This is a Colt 1877 circa 1883 that master gunsmith George Matthews converted to .22 LR rimfire in 1953. He built this to use as a personal carry gun to take along on walks...

Don't know until you try............

Don't sell yourself short! You would be amazed at what you can do/learn to do if the desire is really there. The only thing I farmed out on my rifle was having the barrel relined and chambered....

Based on your wants, you might be more satisfied if you build a rifle. Start with a rimfire Winchester 1885 and go from there. I went thru all that about 40 years ago and wound up with a really great...

Home brewed guns........

This one started out life as a Winchester Model 1885 Winder Musket chambered for .22 short. By the time I bought it, the stock had been shortened and it had been reblued, ruining any collector value....
