Just saw this thread.
I have rebarreled and relined many rifles. If your plans do not work with any other route, consider relining original barrel.

Future plan for BB?
This is a welcome pic series, and confirms my thoughts about how the bbl and rec are mated. Tell me about the adhesive used. Is it brittle, pliable? Loctite made a grey product about 10+ years...

Also, what other USSR target rifles have been covered on this forum? I have seen pics at some point, but do not know model names, or where to find the pics.

Found the factory BB stock recently.
Will be selling it this this week. A real odd design. Anyone know a going rate for these "beauties?" Will post pics. No trigger assy or butt plate.

As a punishment to myself, I will be cutting, threading and adding a sound suppressor to this one. (and the cm2) Had the gun trust created recently. Now the waiting....

Current politics weight on this situation
more than any single factor at this point. This is likely a dead issue to be honest. One executive order = bankruptcy. If politics change..who knows? Do you see that happening soon?

I do not keep up with the GS work any more. I would like a description of lapping a taper into a barrel though. I made a few barrels myself ( cut rifling ) so I understand the process.
