452 Style

I picked up a 452 Style the other day, which has had some mods that are good or bad, depending entirely on your perspective. The barrel has been cut and crowned down to 17", and a heavier, extended...

I would expect to pay in excess of $600 for a 9mm and in excess of $750 for a .45. In new condition, prices would be north of that.

21a nickel

I was fortunate enough to find and purchase a 21a in nickel finish a couple weeks ago. It shoots great and has eaten all ammo flawlessly thus far. It seems like the nickel finish ones are not very...

Tikka M65 magazine

Yes, this is a centerfire question, but does anybody know of a current source for a magazine for a Tikka M65/ Ithaca LSA-65 long action (.270)? I traded for a very nice one the other day, minus a...

Tikka M65 magazine

In a weak moment a few days ago, I traded a revolver for a Tikka M65 Deluxe, chambered in 270 Win. While beautiful, this rifle has no magazine. So I need one. I've read where somebody (or...

I know with a 22 a bulged barrel is not necessarily a death knell for the rifle. I'll look into slugging the barrel after I cut it off and recrown it. I just don't feel scared of it. Maybe I...

7mm-08 shorter barrel

I stopped at a LGS the other day and found an older Weatherby Vanguard (Japan-made South Gate rifle), in 7mm-08, with a pretty nice Nikon 3-9x40 and a very nice leather sling. I was able to take it...

That's a fair question, and in my opinion the answer would have to be yes. The 990 is for all intents and purposes a Model 60 in its mechanics, but everything attached to the basic barrelled action...

I'd say it's probably not too far off in price - pretty good value actually, if you consider the scope. I would like to own a Cooper one day. I probably would have laid down the plastic for it.

So what's an 882L? Is it a lefty? As with anything, it is certainly "possible" to swap the barrel to 17HMR, but it is basically way more trouble and difficult than the rifle is now or will ever be...

I've had good luck with Federal AutoMatch, but not too much other Federal rimfire ammo. To me, it's just bulk ammo to do a lot of shooting with.
