Doesn't seem like it is worth the effort to me. Once the mag is inserted you can't see anything with a 10 round mag. Might be worth it is you were using a banana style which holds more rounds.

Can't answer your question as I don't know. What I did with mine was to get a low Weaver base and screwed that on. This allowed me to use any Weaver style rings and scope combo that I want.

Really like mine. Will shoot between 1/2 and 3/4 inch at 100 yards most of the time if the shooter is doing his job. Found out you do need to clean them more frequently than a 22.
