I have both and I would keep my K-22s over the Woodsman.

I actually prefer the next generation of the Woodsman, the Belgium Browning 22 pistols such as the Challenger, Medalist, and Nomad.

I’ve been told, but can’t verify that their 223 barrels are made from Wilson blanks.
I do know that they shoot real well.

I don’t know if the SA-22 or any of their pistol grips had salt wood. Their high end shotguns and high grade rifles certainly did.

Mine is one of the X rifles. It may be from the later 1970s. It doesn’t have the walnut stock like the early ones had. It may be one of those parts cleanup guns.

You would be surprised how common a dirty chamber causes issues on all semi auto 22s.

22 rimfires are inherently dirty anyway, and the match chambers just compound the issue.
