Another thing that happened to me was that the firing pin had up and down slop in the groove. This let the firing pin droop down and miss the cartridge rim (almost missed).

Sometimes the hammer can catch on the back edge of the bolt and not fall on the firing pin. Not very common, but it has happened.

I have 3 Model 60's. Two of them work fine with Wolf Match Target, one will not cycle reliably. All of them have polished bolts, so it must be a difference in the recoil springs.

Stick a nail through the hole in the middle of the magazine, to keep the spring from flying out when you remove the lower plate.
