A very good polishing of parts and a VQ hammer got me down to just under 2lbs and a very smooth pull. I didn't change springs or anything else. IMHO that's all that is needed.

Go with a variable power adjustable objective scope. That gives you a lot more flexibility as to the use of the gun. I have a Bushnell 4-12X40 AO scope on mine and it works great for target...
