I've done it, or as close as anything I've seen. The chamber needs a little work, and can't be used as a rimfire any longer, but a CF reloadable .22LR analog it is.

I've enjoyed the bump fires as well, I can't say that the experience is truly analogous, but they sure do the trick to put a smile on your face for a lot less money!
