You are correct, just go out and shoot. Problem with my Single Six Hunter is that with 22lr. hitting my 1" steel Plate at 25 yards is really tuff compared to my Mark IV and Hammerli 22's.

I have not heard or seen this problem as of yet. It appears that Ruger may have to make a less porous piece of metal for the mainspring housing. Hope this is not a big problem in the future.

Everyone has had problems with that safety screw. Some get it off and some don't. Luckily when I added the Volquartsen kit to my two Mark IV's it was very tight but eventually it did break loose.
