Any of these folks deal with the 9 shot revolvers? I have my dad's JC Higgins and it needs some TLC. Been rode hard and put up wet. Don't recall the model, but the alloy frame with 6"+ barrel.

Yeah, they eliminated the LCI on the Mark IVs. So the bolt is a drop in for a II and IV. III needs the LCI removed. Not sure what is different on a Mark I/Standard.

You could add a pressure pad under the barrel an inch or two from the end of the stock. Might help a fair bit. A piece of inner tube works great.

Rifle or pistol? HV ammo in a 4-5.5" barrel won't hit Mach 1. I use CCI Blazer all the time in my Ruger Mark pistols. Works quite well too.
