I have shot both CCI standard velocity and Walmart Federal bulk pack 36 gr high velocity in my Victory with no issues at all. I personally would not shoot stingers through my Victory.

You have no worries about your 39AS, it is made of finely machined steel and walnut and will last several lifetimes. If it is accurate and functions well, don't be concerned about it.

I re-read my post, and I made an omission/mistake. It was a model 61 .22 magnum grooved receiver rifle that I had bought. That's the part that really saddens me!:(

My favorite all the way through the MK series...

My favorite all the way through the MK series pistols has always been the stainless 5.5 in heavy bbl Target model. Gives adequate forward weight to steady the pistol and ample sight radius.
