I would have no use for any other than the 455 .22LR Varmint. I have one in a Boyds stock. Rifle shoots well. Trigger pull is set at 8 oz. I just did a little spring changing and stoning. Zero creep.

KSS sent me a new scope rail. It is machined a little better than the original. Still slightly canted. I am starting to think the barrel is not square to the receiver. I have a +20 insert in the rear...

The disappointment is not with the accuracy. How could a misaligned scope rail get out the door? It is pretty obvious. I am a retired Industrial Engineer with a Six Sigma Black Belt. Have done more...

The newer trigger is totally different. Not as good IMO. All I did to get a 6oz trigger was to adjust the screw with the lock nut and the one that takes the slack/engagement out of the trigger...

Once again, they have never upgraded the bolt. The original trigger is much better than the new style. I installed the old style trigger in my Varmint Saturday. It is sitting at 6 oz w/o replacing...

I ordered one of the old style triggers yesterday. I did find out that my rifle shoots much better without free floating the barrel. I have the barrel touching the stock about midway now.

We have found that most rifles with that configuration typically do not perform well. I can have my pilot pick you up if you would like to shoot our match. Understand I am not knocking your rifle....

It is very easy to fix. No kit needed. Just reduce the engage area. My 455 Varmint has a 6 oz pull with no creep. BTW gunsmiths love Dremels. They have ruined more things than you can imagine. A...

Mine has the new style trigger. I may see if I can replace it with the old style. I had to remove a good bit of wood to free float the barrel. Will see how it shoots Monday. Not sure about the...

Managed to get the trigger pull down to 12 oz. Sorry, but your ARish gun would be totally useless in our .22 Sniper Match.

KSS Varmint

I am a little disappointed in the rifle. The Pros are good barrel. I shot Lapua Center X, Eley 100, Eley Club, SK Rifle Match and some old Eley Team. The rifle did not seem to care what I fed it....

I asked about the action screw torque. They just use a single setting torque wrench. Guy could not recall what the setting is. I will check mine, but would guess they are in the 18-20 in/lb range. My...

Keystone bolts are all the same for the 722 guns. No Gen 1 and Gen 2. Serial numbers above 4700 have the new trigger. The "match" chamber is a Benz chamber.

We have a few RPRs trying to compete in our .22 Sniper Match. I have not been impressed with their accuracy. IMO the biggest flaw is the butt stock design. It just does not ride a rear bag very well.

Perhaps you doubters about Eley's involvement should just talk to them on the phone like I did yesterday. Some of you "experts" don't know as much as you think you do.

I was excited when they first came out until I shot one. The butt does not work very well on a bag. I found it very difficult to make slight elevation changes when shooting prone.
