Can use small rifle primers in place of small pistol ...

Can a small rifle or small pistol case be drilled out ?

I do not know if the thickness of brass extends through the entire base of the case. If it does, it might be possible to modify small rifle or small pistol brass to accept a large rifle primer. ...
