I have a Ural-1 and a Ural-2. Both 3 lug bolt. Both have loading ramps. Lots of variations of these I guess.

Sounds used to me. My local has the same gun. They are selling it as a New gun. Not only has it been shot quite a bit, even has lead buildup on the top strap, someone removed the cover improperly...

My Varmint had the same thing, but on the barrel too. Cleaned of pretty easily but it sure looked like rust to me.

Is the barrel lug intentionally loose in the dovetail or is it a manufacturing error that is too small for them to address? Looking for a definative answer. No answer from CZ emails sent. -Mike

It is common for these to crack at the wrist. The last few my local shop had in were cracked there. Wick in some thin superglue till the crack is full and it will be good forever.

I would suggest leaving it dirty. The bore anyway. Until groups start opening up. My Ural keeps reasonably tight groups for 4-5 hundred rounds of Eley Sport.

A lot of rimfires are designed for limited dry firing without damage, but in most the firing pin is impacting something when dryfired. Tens of thousands of dry hits won't do any of them any good....
