While I have some better quality scopes set aside, I love the simmons scopes made in the Philippines for my rimfires. I'll save the weaver classic for something like a 300 win mag:bthumb:

What you have proven is that they are GREAT scopes for a rimfire. You just abused it with recoil. If it was still on the 10/22 it would still be going strong.

Get the metal quick release mounts. Make sure your sling has some padding near the swivels and that should keep the metal from bottoming out. I don't worry about it that much and haven't noticed...

Pass it along to someone else. It wasn't very reliable. The brass cased "junior" ammo was OK for target shooting. You will find it's loaded to around 1000fps.

Were Dynapoints rebranded in 22 magnum? I saw some boxes of 250 and I believe they said, "universal" load. I suspect they are those old crappy 45 grain plated rounds in a new package.
