I would never use this for preventing gumming. I use this One Shot on my high power cases for case lube, then it gets wiped off. Maybe some Birchwood Casey dry moly lube on a patch run down the tube...

If it was my guns, I would trash the ammo. You will not get the grit out of those billets and you will be scratching the heck out of your bore. Even when we drop one on a clean floor, it gets trashed.

Just remember, the tang sight will only have one screw to hold it in place. You can have it drilled and tapped as long as that hole does not take out any of the the serial numbers.
