Thanks for that clarification on the S. I have never seen one but I do have an early 582 walnut with no serial #. That 24" barrel with a good scope is a real squirrel sniper.

My first experience with blazers was a joy. 10-22 sporter, 2x7 vortex scope. 10 rounds blew out the 10 ring, 9 touching and 1 still in 10 ring but not touching the others. I was quite pleased.
