I got that front with a v-notch rear with my ruger mk3 for a year, it was the least used gun I had for that year. I got the factory sight back on now and I like it much more.

It allows you to keep the iron sights on and dialed in. I enjoy shooting with the irons often so I would want the ability to swap between them both readily. If that's not a factor that matters to you...

I've been contemplating about getting rid of the current front sight and putting a lyman globe sight on my 9422, the ramp is pretty scarred and ugly, my eyes are always drawn toward it nowadays....

I'll post pics as soon as possible. The new sight is still not installed. But it'll probably look a lot like KGBs setup that he linked to, but likely I will put it farther back on the tang than him.
