I just ordered the RV-7.

I used to have many Leupolds, but about 2008, found that the reticle was a bit fuzzy, even turning out the eyepiece like I usually do. I can turn the eyepiece out a few...

Signalman1, thanks for putting up the pics of the RV-9.
That’s a nice scope, but I’ve spent way too much this summer on gun related stuff, so I’d better slow down and watch my money.

I bought 4...

I think I’m going to order the Weaver Classic Rimfire from Natchez.
$109 is a good price, scope only weighs 9.5 ounces.

Need a new Rimfire Scope

I recently picked up a first year production 552 Speedmaster, and initial testing has shown it to be capable of some very good accuracy.

I'd like to get a quality scope for it that is more on the...

I was thinking when I bought this 552 that a full size rifle like that needed some glass. I don't have many scopes on rifles, especially if they are smaller ones.
A scope just doesn't look right on...

I looked at a date code chart I found on this forum and it seems my new 552 might just be first year of production, 1957.
And a month build date of August, I was born in September of that year.

I've had my 552 about 10 hours !
In high school I had a 550-1, a 9422M, and a Nylon 66 MB.
My Grandad had several rimfires, but the one I got to shoot the most was his 572.
Looking forward to...

I'm left handed though, so hopefully my left hand will be on the pistol grip.

I like that it has a blast deflector.

My first rifle handed down from...

Picked Up a Nice 552

I went to a gun show today and saw quite a few older .22's. One was a Remington semi auto that was bottom eject and looked like a bigger version of the Browning SA.
The guy had Duracoated the...

I was out this morning with a few of the .22's and was wanting to use up some Winchester M-22 ammo to zero the rifles, then try some other brands.
I shot this with M-22s, not exactly the best ammo....

I went out this morning and shot a bit.
As I suspected, the WGRS peep will need a taller front sight. But it gives a really nice repeatable sight picture.
I shot this group at 25 yards with Golden...

The first of the ten rounds does sit at more of a high angle than the rest.
But when the next round up gets to the top of the mag, it too points up at a weird angle. The nature of the beast I guess....

One of the things done to it was a new outer tube, and I doubt it has been shot much if at all since the refurbish. There's no crud in the tube from heavy use.
It's not too bad, but seems snug the...

My Old/New 1906

I looked at a...
