Stay with KIDD or Fedderson. I never had all that much accuracy with 10/22 Shilens.

The method works fine. Execution varies. If the receiver is being bedded anyway, you are probably good to go without it if the bedding is executed correctly.

Currently, US dealers need a $2500 Export Permit to ship ANY gun parts to anywhere from the US. Midway has a UK presence, but no B&C Anschutz (has other models). You might try contacting them...

If you want accuracy off a bench, get a bench rest. Bipods can't compete with one.

No experience with the Kidd Tapered, but I had two tapered Shilens over the years on 10/22 builds. Neither was particularly accurate compared to other custom barrels, and were quickly sold off.

Has anyone come up with a way to create a polished deep blued 10/22 receiver? Or one that looks like it and is durable? As of 2-3 years ago, the answer was "no".
