Winchester, but seemed pretty...

Extractor

A bigger complaint than the trigger I have with my 17vs is the extractor. They
just seem to be sooo weak. Whenever the chamber gets a little carbon in it, making
the rounds only slightly sticky,...

I got the XT-22 years ago when it was a Remlington rifle. It was set aside for a
few weeks before shooting. Then I discovered that the whole barrel was canted.
That wouldn't concern me much since a...

It is "just" a varmint bullet. It had better be a head shot on a rabbit or squirrel if you
want any meat. But it's also the most accurate round out of my CZ455. Next in
accuracy is the Fed 50gr....

I had to actually polish the chamber on my 17vs to cure its extraction problems. I
believe the extractor is pretty cheezy and weak on Marlin's rimfire bolts, expecially
after getting a CZ and...

But have you tried the 50gr Federals? My CZ455 shoots great groups with the 30gr
Vmax's. I have a bunch of different flavored 40gr rounds that it just won't shoot,
making them 25yd hunting loads at...

Agreed. I didn't mean to start such a firestorm of discussion, but was just curios. If
it was bluing, no problem, but if carbon, big problem. It's just been in the last few
years that I've had the...

Blued Bore?

After initial cleansing the bore on my 455, I hadn't cleaned it for the next three
years. Almost all ammo has been Hornady 30gr Vmax, so I decided it should be
cleaned to get the copper out. So it...

never find any, anywhere. If they shoot even more accurately in my CZ455 than
the 30gr Horn V-max's, I'll be one very...

occupying them. It came this way from the factory. Assuming they were for a scope
base, I have done 'net...

The Point

jaia, you've gone to a lot of trouble to make a point which did not need to be made.
The point of the thread was to let others know what is MOST accurate in their
.22wmr's. Perhaps such knowledge...
