Talked to Mike Bush w/Vudoo Gun Works a few days ago, he said they have zero interest in doing a 17 WSM. Guess that just leaves us with Zermatt Arms and their new RimX action, but I haven't heard if...

Is anyone really surprised by that though?!

I talked to CZ a couple years ago about the chances of them making a 17 WSM. It was kind of a funny conversation and asked me if I was family with the...

I'm sure Eric Mayer is there and he's kind of our rimfire field reporter so if there is anything new in the rimfire world, particularly with the 17 WSM, he'll let us know.

If you're using a set of factory CZ rings, they'll be plenty tall.

Accurate 1680 works well in both of my CZ 17 Hornets with the 20gr Vmax. I use Rem 7 1/2 and Fed 205m primers. You certainly...

You can do that, but Savage technical support (1 (413) 568-7001) is very easy to deal with and they're usually great about working through any problems. I think you'll find calling them will get you...

Not really sure why, but since I was a kid I've always wanted a 1911 in 38 Super, any of you have a 1911 in 38 Super?

Wouldn't mind having a 1911 in 460 Rowland and 357 Sig, too.

No truer words were ever spoken! I went for years and never personally owned a 1911. I bought one, and before I could hardly blink, I had two.

Were the fired cases rupturing/splitting on you by chance?

From the throat part of the barrel forward to the muzzle should be fine, but if the cases were rupturing/splitting once they were fired,...

I don't know who all still makes a .17 caliber HP bullet but I know Hornady discontinued theirs, so unless you already have a pretty good supply of them, I'm not sure I'd get to much time invested...

FYI, don't forget to pop the escutcheons out of the old stock and install them in your new stock. They kinda sorta act like a pillar and if you don't swap them into the new stock, the action screws...

True, and that would make for a very nice setup, I'm just not confident any of the 17 cal rimfire ammo is good enough to justify the cost of a build like that.

The Zermantt action looks very nice but $1150 is just for the action so depending on your list of components, building off of one of those could easily turn into a $2500-$3000 build by the time you...

I have both, so it's not like I am picking favorites, but in all actuality, the 5.7x28 only offers a minimal advantage over the 22 Mag and it does so at a considerably higher cost.
