A mannlicher without sights? Ditto. I like mannlichers, but they have to have sights.
They simply don't look right...

I doubt that any test shooter can consistently put five rounds in the same tiny hole with every gun, as Cooper test targets...

If you decide to buy a used Cooper, get only a Model 57M, not a 57 or 36.

In any case, a classic stock will work better for you than a Ans. Monte Carlo.

btw, not that many ever need parts, but once a model is discontinued, Anschutz isn't too keen on having parts available after 5-10...

With all due respect, I still consider these guns to be deluxe boy's rifles. Priced less than the SA22 at the time, and it shows in build features.
Can't compare them to a Rem 37 or Winch 52.

Thanks TBR, for the reminder about the NECG sight. Being a steel and walnut gun, it appeals. It does appear that it would require a taller front sight.

And plenty of factory boxes have the styrofoam punched by the muzzle. I've even seen a few new guns where the muzzle was about to escape the box.
