The assembly screw is tight. The TC mag is longer than the Ruger mags. I filed and fit and it does work better but not perfect. My TC mag is now at 1.649. My Ruger mags measure from 1.640 to 1.649 ...

That is the method I try to use, but it rarely works. Seem the mag cannot move back away from the front catch to release properly. It does make me favor the Ruger mags.
