Nice find! I've found that diesel fuel works exceptionally well at removing cosmoline. I look forward to seeing pictures. It should have the rear peep sight and no other rear sight.

Jaywalker - that's quite the sad tale. I guess I don't quite understand what they were trying to accomplish in 'fitting the barrels'. I've never heard of that before.

Glad you enjoyed shooting it! My 341-p rifles are quite accurate once the rear sight has been dialed in. It is one of the most accurate non-target rifles that I own!
