The only thing I've heard is that CZ has had the 527/550 bolt or maybe just the claw extractor, can't remember which, done out of house. It was mentioned by CZ during their promotion for the new 557...

As above, I've had two vintage 17s with extraction issues, as in I actually had to push the star rod against the bench to extract empties and this was with any ammo I tired and I tried every kind I...

I use the CZ version of the Williams peep on our 452 Trainer 22 LR and it works great with the factory front sight. No problem at all. I also shoot a 452 SuperMatch, a similar gun to the Trainer, but...

Always have issues with pics, here. The holster is nothing fancy. Just contoured nylon for the 10 " Exemplar, but it does have an Anschutz label on it. Came with the gun.

Best deal was an unfired, in the box with papers, extra cylinder and all original packing 1965 vintage Ruger SuperSingle Six with my favorite 5 1/2" barrel length. Not necessarily the best in terms...

They are scarce, but, then, you never know until you start looking. Found mine at an estate auction, of all places. The auctioneer couldn't pronounce Anschutz, so just called it a West German target...

Yes, I do in that I can see the difference in the optics, but that's me. I'd suggest looking though both if you have the opportunity, though I know that's not easy, these days.

Plus one on those...

Okay, should have said a PCP has recoil on the par with other guns in that it is one way. Compared to a piston air gun, though, recoil is negligible. I shoot both.

M, as I said, at 10 meters I...

Scopes with an AO are the norm for airgun shooting for a reason. A lot of airgun shooting is done closeup, as close as 10 meters at times. Lots of parallax that close, especially with a big game...

I've shot many of the standard Contender 22 LR barrels and about half a dozen of the Match barrels in various configurations. Some of the standard barrels were very accurate, on a par with the Match...

Our 457 Trainer had a rough and scratchy bolt, right out of the box. CZ obviously didn't bother to do any polishing, so I finished the job with some fine emery and polishing compound. Now runs slick...

I think you did great. They are sweet to shutoff the bench and, after trying all the options on sights, I settled on a riflescope for mine. I like to joke that my Exemplar is my most accurate...

I've used the stock open sights (excellent), a red dot, a variable pistol scope and a rifle scope. I much prefer the riflescope. Our Exemplar now wears a Nikon Prostaff 3-9x EFR. Great to shoot from...

Weigand makes a mount that uses the rear sight dovetail, no drilling and tapping required and no mods to the gun required. Have used these mounts on MK I and MK II Targets to good success.

Yes, the locking bolt has the notch on the back. Locking bolts are spring loaded with fairly heavy springs, so it will take a fairly firm push.
