I use one on my utility knives and some kitchen knives , works great for a quick touch-up, followed by a stroke or two on a good steel, great for the kitchen paring knives and other 1095 steel work...

heavy/light barrel

I too like a heavier barrel for the standing position, for me it settles better and allows easier follow thru.
sitting/prone I believe the heavier barrel is not as much a factor for me.

A bit more difficult w/hot temps and the hands/fingers/sling/eyes getting slippery:D

CZ Model 537

Have a 537 in 7x57, that is missing the front sight.

537 model was later changed to the 550 model, so I believe the 550 front sight and hood will fit.


Anyone have a 537 model, and a 550...
