Is paper box power point ammo usually good or is it all a crap shoot? I used to buy it in grey paper boxes. Nothing in the red plastic 100 round slider boxes seems to shoot very well.

I quit testing .22 ammo if the temps are much below 50 or 60 degrees. It's hard to pass up a nice 40 degree day when you have cabin fever in March, but cold weather results have usually been weird...

FWIW, Eley Force is usually in the 1175 fps range if you shoot it over a chronograph. The 1250 fps that Eley originally claimed was probably a creation of their marketing folks.

Handle one and make sure you like the way it fits. We have a couple 24" models and like them. One of them is pretty accurate, the other only shoots well with one kind of ammo but that works for us....
