The single set trigger in the new CZs is fantastic. That being said the Brookes trigger kit is also fantasic and an easy install.

If you want a Varmint or an American it is probably just easier...

I have no idea specifically what rings they were. They are cheap Walmart Weavers and yes they are more of a squat oval shape, not an out of round circle as you describe. I had them laying around...
