If you look at the front of the bolt stop lever you should be able to see the spring under the front end of the bolt stop lever just in front of the trigger pin.

This update from VQ clearly shows the difference between the old and modified sears. The notch on one side is bigger on the modified sear. I received this email today.

No. You have to use MK IV grip panels only. MK III panels will not fit. There are several grip manufacturers out ther that a web search will show. I used LOK Grips on my MK IV 22/45.

I sent my XD-S in for recall to Springfield and I had to wait two months to get it back. Ruger is pacing the recall so they don't back up and to inconvenience the owner as little as possible.
