CCI Subs and CCI SV sound exactly the same, but the SV is more accurate. The nice hp on the SS is great for hunting though.

Interesting, shooting at 200 yards *almost* put me out of elevation. I had about 10 clicks left when shooting CCI SV.

If you can, annodize it. The annodizing is more durable, harder, and generally looks clean. I have never seen a 10/22 that was annodized in all honesty, so maybe the above warnings are to be taken...

Yeah this firing pin definatly isn't a stamped part. Ha, I might just be selling mine after a while. I'll keep it another 6months and decide. Walther hasn't gotten back to me, but I try S&W. Thanks.

Busted firing pin in the SP22

Gotta love the potmetal:mad:. My firing pin snapped right in half yesterday at just under 3200rnds (no dryfiring). The metal looks like it was a casting or MIM the way it looks when in half. Shame...

Automatch isn't so bad for me. The older lots did seem to do a little better, but not terribly. With my tweaked 10/22, it'll print them into about 1.15" at 50yards. By comparison, CCI SV does .75"...

I like the looks of the 22", but I have a theory that it might be less accurate in general compared to a 16 or 18". Reason being (I have a 22" and 18" btw), the 22" has more vibrations and has more...

Better, the barrel is more rigid and the chamber is tighter and the crown is better from the factory. I have a feeling it will be the Model 60 livingnext to the 10/22 if you go ahead and throw in the...

Anyone ever build a Release Trigger for a 10/22?

Release triggers are triggers that fire when releasing pressure, so there is no wieght or grit or any of those other issues. I've only really ever seen them on shotguns, but I think the idea has more...

If I wanted a LW barrel, I would CF wrap a thin sleeve. Most people want .22s that are heavy as to mimick centerfire rifles anyways.

It should be ok. If you actually shoot it in low temps, they will shoot slower. High temps make the propellant faster.

I use the lead version, I've never seen the copper washed version. That hollow point looks even bigger than the ones on my lead ones. I found that the accuracy is on the better side of average, but...

I find that the Win Match is the most accurate CB for my 10/22. It is much more quiet than the CCI and CBees, but the Aguila Colbris are still the best in the noise area. These are around the 500fps...

Improving the accuracy of a hogue stock?

You could remove the rust, and then let some Slip2000 sit on there for about a week so it really soaks in. This will reduce the rust significantly.
