I sold a Browning 52 for $1500 but it had a Leupold Alaskan scope with Browning rings and bases. Those alone will bring $500 on Ebay. I have a Winchester 52R set up the same way.

[I] put the Leupold Alaskan on both of my 52's (Browning and Winchester) for just that reason and they looked "killer". Also you get the added benefit of a 7/8" tube that clears the bolt throw nicely...

I think that if it has open sights on the barrel it takes the one with the tabs. They were the last ones Browning made. If you find some with the tabs, they're easily ground off.
