Your gun appears to have an aftermarket barrel , probably either a Volquartsen or a Clark. Either way that should be one accurate pistol !! And yes it has a volquartsen aftermarket trigger .

High "may" clear the rear sight but extra high will clear. You can crank the rear sight all the way down if you choose to use high and it will probably clear the rear sight.

Shoot it at 20 yards or so and if the bullets are going to keyhole they should at that distance. Take pictures of the target and send that along with the guns serial number to Ruger and ask for help.

did you check gun parts , Numrich ? Mid way also has some parts for Rugers. You may also check for AMT parts because they are interchangeable with Ruger MKII's

I have found CCI SV is the most accurate out of my guns at 50 yards , but not at 100. I find Norma Tac 22 more accurate at 100 . Just what I have found in my Ruger MKII CT and my CZ 452 varmint.
