M4-22 Elite Shooting Far Left

Brand new Elite, first trip to the range, shooting far left, adjusted rear sights over as much as possible, and still 5 inches to the left.

Yes, shooting from bench, and the factory sights are tight to the rail. Distance 50 feet.

Any suggestions?

Something is very wrong someplace. Send it back if you can.

Only other thing is try different ammo. I've never heard of ammo only throwing bullets that far off, but it could be possible. Otherwise, maybe the sights themselves are crooked. Is it consistent?

If it's not grouping with different type of ammo then there is something wrong with the barrel. If the groups are consistent just not centering up its could be the handguard is not seated correctly or the barrel is canted in the receiver.

If you have a red dot or other optic lying around try it with that and see if it improves.

Either way Tippmann's customer service is pretty good. Fill out a warranty claim on their web site and they will send you an RMA and shipping label if you need to.

Can you post some pictures on the rifle? Something is not right because these Tippmann are very accurate. I check to make sure barrel is not off of bent.

Maybe there is problem with your handguard mounting. Unscrew it and try to align it.

Update on the shooting far left situation. Looking top down you can see that the barrel is canted left.

Is this a possible self fix? or better off awaiting for Tippman to issue a RMA?

Had a similar problem with my first Tippmann .22LR M-4 Pro. The hand-guard was not centered to the barrel so the front sight was off-line. It is unlikely to be the barrel that is off. If you fit a red dot sight on the receiver picatinny rail (not on the hand guard) you should see where the problem is.
