Agreed, they are now bargain basement crap! Won't be buying anymore!

Here are the pictures.

Too much oil on the strip, crappy engraving of the stamp block or individual stamps in the holder block and a lazy toolmaker not checking his work.

According to the number on the outside of my case , I got a different lot number . I got E04AA10 . Kirby

Let CCI know about those under performing 22's.

As I understand it the Heading machines used for 22 rimfire use an inner as well as an outer punch that are both meant to meet together during their operation. I believe from the look of those stamps that the outer punch is driving harder. This isn't the first time Iv'e seen this sort of "look" and not just these CCI's but some European 22's as well.

Maybe it's due to their new facility? Maybe they just cranked up the speed on the heading machines they have been using for quite some time? Maybe because of a higher rate of production? Because of the new addition?

Blazer Problems Solved

I never found CCI Blazer to shoot very well in any of the CZ rimfires I have. I donated my remaining supply (500 rds) to one of the local State Park Range Officers for their 25 yard range where they use Ruger American rifles.

I have been assuming the 525 bulk pack is made by federal. I won't buy any.
Should be able to tell by the appearance of thise bullets . So far our bricks of paper box Blazer are still working well.

Iíve just bought 3 bricks of Blazers. Iím not quite thru my first brick but theyíve fired fine with good accuracy in my Mark IV Hunter. The headstamps are well done and consistent. Lot # for mine is J10Z109.

I can't fuss about the last few bricks of Blazer that I bought, either. My CZ 512 loves it, and shoots it under a 1/2" at 50 yards. It is an exceptional rifle, though. My boltguns don't like it as much, but it's tolerable in them.

I've had good luck with Blazer .22's

I've been using Blazer 40 gr. RNL in just about every .22 I have, from my 1970 S & W Model 17, M & P Compact, Winchester & Marlin rifles (pump and bolt actions) and have no complaints - accuracy is very good.

I recently got a .22 conversion kit for a Sig Sauer P228/P229 and they function as reliably as CCI Mini-mags, something I can't say for the Federal 40 gr. loads - with some lot numbers of those you would think you were using blackpowder!

I have heard, maybe on this forum, that Blazer is made by both federal and CCI. Since both are owned by the same conglomerate. And that the CCI Blazer is better than the federal Blazer. Now this might be fake news internut drivel.

I saw that reported also as the Federal Blazer lot numbers, bullet and cartridge box hangers differed from the CCI Blazer. Although I haven't seen any mention of Federal currently producing Blazer's.

Please correct me if I'm wrong but didn't CCI previously "Deboss" or press into the cardboard the lot numbers of Blazer?

Looks as if CCI made a change to ink with this lot of Blazer.

I shot a box of my new Blazer as did my brother today . Neither of use could tell any difference in this case and the last .
You can definite see a difference in the case stampings . The C is smaller . I’ve read CCI owns a plant in Mexico . I wonder if these could be coming from there .
The Federal Blazers didn’t have the heavy lube on them . They weren’t as good as the CCI Blazers.

I just want to say! I shoot a lot of rimfire and I have shot a lot of rimfire, I know what under powered and squib loads are! These are some of the worst rimfire I have shot in years!
My wife that does not shoot that much, on Sat. when we were shooting even asked me "What's wrong with these!" Some of the rounds were duds, and a lot of them seemed 50% under powered! I have shot a bunch of Blazer over the years and Never had a problem! These definitely have a problem.
I also stand corrected, I did my research on my ammo purchases and these were not from Target USA, rather from Palmetto Armory!
