Jim has added 2 more matches to his schedule for ABRA Fresno.

Congratulations, Jim. Good to see more ABRA ranges coming into being. Am I correct that your range provides 50yard indoor matches? Good luck in this new venture. Perhaps we will make a trip to Ohio to shoot with you.

Oldshot, yes we shoot indoors. Just shot the earlier today and Jim put the beatdown on me again.:( We have a good time on our regular Friday night shoots. Hope to be there next week to shoot, would be my first ABRA shoot. Come on over and join us. Should be a fun time. It is nice to be able to shoot in the winter and not freeze. Kurt

Interesting. :) Is this for semi autos only or can bolt guns play? Are you still having the fun shoots on other Fridays?

hispeedlead 11-16-2019 11:16 AM

Bill, We are still shooting on Fridays, not sure if they are going to every Friday for the winter or will stay with first and third Fridays. Yes, bolt guns can play. Stop up some Friday.

How did your first match go?

vlnbyr 11-25-2019 09:13 AM

There was a nice bunch, 3 relays. I don't have a score sheet but there was a 199 and at least a couple of 198's. Usual mirage problems. Jim had a big food spread as usual.

Lisa

What is the plan on indoor competition? Will they be separate classes for reporting or comingled with the outdoor results? Match results are really not generally an issue, but aggregate awards would be biased.

oldshot50 12-08-2019 03:31 PM

Art,
After some messaging with Lisa, it is my understanding that the indoor and outdoor matches will be recorded separately. There will be both indoor national standings and an indoor national champion and outdoor national standings and an outdoor national champion. Both indoor and outdoor matches use same target, follow same format for classes and same ABRA published rules. If I misunderstood, my apologies to you, others with the same concerns and Lisa.

You are correct they will be separate and posted separate.
Same rules and targets apply for both indoor and outdoor.
