The are not taking phone calls at it time. Every call goes to their answering serves and I can not find it on line

They still have it on their website, so I would assume it's available:

Lots of gunshops out of stock I guess

My LGS just got a new one the other day. Doesn't mean it's not old stock moving around, but it still shows on the website.

Itís STILL in production but U might want to look elsewhere. In the Henry rifle forum People are pointing out how STIFF they are and how it takes over 600 rounds to smooth them out just a bit and itís all because of their single action bar instead of dual action. Pumps should have dual side bars to make them more stable. A single action bar needs to be stiff to handle all the pumping force.

The Henry pump actually has a shorter action that other slide action 22s.
So while it is a bit more stout to move the slide, it can be fired relatively fast once it's broke in.

Humm, what other silky smooth 22 pump has two action bars? The world wonders!
Winchester 61? Nope!
Winchester 62a? Nope
Gotta be the Remington 572 right? Nope!
Browning Trombone? Nope.

I thought the Remington 572 had dual action bar.

FlysAlot 04-13-2021 07:09 AM

Not the 572!

Nope

The Henry uses a cam action nearly identical to their lever guns. I'd say 6,000 rounds isn't enough to smooth one out. I see no way one could be done in 600 rounds. The design will never be smooth. I have a first year of production one and it got shot a LOT, still not smooth.

Well, I have one on the way; should be here next week. I'll post photos.

I have been on the fence with the Henry pump. LGS wants $420 + tax. I was hoping the action would smooth up but apparently not. I want a magazine fed rifle that will digest anything. I have a bunch of shorts and short CB's. The Utubers always give great ratings so I have to look here to find out what is really going on. Biggest negative is all the screws to take it down. Lever looks a bit simpler. At least you dont have to take off the fore end. He does not have any Henry levers but he does have a Browning BL22 grade 1 for $540 + tax. Not budging on price. Aren't the Henry levers selling below $400?

I love mine, itís just not silky smooth.

Roadrat 04-22-2021 04:13 PM

NOT SMOOTH!!!!

Mine arrived from my FFL this morning. I have owned and shot pumps all my life.

It took BOTH HANDS to push/pull the slide to the rear!! I cannot believe this thing is designed to operate like this.

Has anyone found a lube that will make this thing useable??? OR anything else that could possible do it??

PS.......... I gave it a good dose of One Shot and I can now get it opened by putting the butt stock on my thigh and forcing the slide to the rear. Pushing it forward takes more effort.......
I have no idea how they managed to get this rifle so hard when their H001 lever action is smooth as silk.

Sadly no. Be careful and don't dry fire!
