Can someone please tell me how to disassemble CM-2 bolt?

'Tis an old one. I decided to polish the outside of the bolt and after separating bolt head from body noticed there was a thick, reddish, grease and grit in there around the spring. I have it soaking in mineral spirits right now.

So, anyone have disassembly instructions?

Also, will Flitz polish the aluminum on the buttplate slide?

Thanks in advance

sounds like you pretty much got it once you uncock it kinda just comes apart
only a couple pieces to it. my izhmash looks like someone made the firing pin
with a hand file, rough made but shoots great. might have a no. 2 tractor
factory mark on it.

Yes, the firing pin and spring inside the bolt body. Maybe I just need to move them around some before they fly out. I know these things aren't overly complicated but thought perhaps someone who had bought a new one could chime in, since they probably received a manual with their rifles.

Thanks on the Flitz, that's great work!

Feedback appreciated guys!

But that should give ....anybody an idea how to disassemble a CM-2 bolt.
I took my CM-2 bolt apart & smeared JB bore paste on my internal bolt parts & put it back together & cycled it up & down 40-50 times.
Then took her apart & cleaned her real good, then re-greased put back together. Helped my CM-2 bolt operate smoother....:t
Of course my CM-2 was new & made in 2004.

Swiss, you're the man! All that was missing was for me to push the pin with spring down while inside the bolt body in order to release them.

Now get this, at one end of my firing pin spring was a "shorter" spring, with only three or four coils of roughly the same diameter wire, interlocked with the last coils of the firing pin spring. I'm pretty sure this was done on purpose 'cause it's visually obvious it's there and I doubt this smaller spring could "fit" anywhere else on the rifle. I think it was positioned toward the back of the bolt, but am not sure since it's late, I'm tired, and I wasn't paying attention as I completed the disassembly. I'll try to take a pic tomorrow or Friday.

Thanks again for taking the time to make and post the vid!!!:t :t

Btw. an old rag or towel will make turning the bolt head back on a little easier.

Guys, here is that extra little spring. What purpose do you think it serves? Revive a worn spring?

so how are the urals different from the cm-2 bolt... just trying to learn. I have heard there is a difference with lugs and no lugs but do they come apart the same way?
