Dovetail adapter

Hey guys total newbie here just bought my first 10/22. https://ruger.com/products/1022Sport...ets/11165.html
This is the one I bought. The problem is it came with no sights so I bought a tech sights and I found out that I need something to mount the front dovetail. I bought the.920 adapter from tech sights but it doesn't fit and it looks hideous. Are there any other options out there? Any help would be greatly appreciated

You could use the scope base and mount a scope on it or buy another barrel that had sights already installed. The target models are setup to shoot with optics.

That is a pretty rifle, but imo the Tech Sights would not be pretty on it. If you are set on having 'iron sights' the old Williams peep (the trim and low one) for the back and a sporting ramp with blade front would suit it well.
Or scope it with a trim scope (not one of those huge 'tactical' things) and find out what it can really do.

IMO there are no good ways to add sights to a 10/22 barrel that didn't have them, especially if you don't like the Tech sights (I don't). You might consider looking for a barrel with sights. A basic OEM 18 1/2 inch carbine barrel can be $35. I think I paid $90 for a 20-inch with sights, but that was stainless.

Mount the optic base and get you a nice Reflex optic .. Full size or a Mini.:bthumb::bthumb: Much mo' beda for plinking and decent accuracy out to 50 yds. - now.. if you want superior accuracy as stated above get yourself a nice scope you can afford.. if you go that route ask us about suggestions.. do not buy one off the shelf without some help on that.;)

ABORT the Tech Sights!

This scope in the lowest rings you can find. Optics Planet usually has 10% off coupons and always free shipping. I have one on my Takedown.

The Nodak Spud NDS-23 is designed for a .920 barrel. Might be an option if you are set on iron sights.
