Was given a Lyman Tru-Line Jr. with extras today. It will go on a shelf in my gun room as a display. Funny the things we collect.

Hi usmc69,

My first reloading vise was a Lyman True-Line Jr. It was a Christmas gift in 1951. It was a poor choice for rifle cartridges. The center shaft was too small and you could only do neck sizing, allowing for the bend in the shaft. It was well made but a poor design. The Pacific "C" press was a much better choice. Especially after they came out with the Super C press.

Your post brought back some fond memories.

Frank

Id set it up to use for one of my pistol cartridges, like 38S&W :bthumb:
But I like using vintage equipment.

When I started out handloading 53 years ago it was with a Lyman 310 tool. The tool was already second hand when purchased. It "crafted" very good ammo.
I still have the tool (long long time since last used) along with 308W and 22-250 die sets. Also had 222R dies in the early days. Nostalgia. .....sigh.
