I've been putting this together for some time now.
Several of the parts are from other RFC members: Cherry stock is from Tuck, 22in DSP barrel from UDaMan, the bolt handle from quackhunter

I am calling this stock the Mannlicher TNZ. It is the last in a series of four stocks I built last summer based on the TNZ theme. As I worked on the TNZ Woodsman stock, which I featured in this thread, it occurred to me that the design would also lend itself very well to a full stock version. In my opinion a slim forearm is the essence of the Mannlicher design. In order to achieve a slim forearm I designed this stock to use a tapered sporter barrel. However, the design can be adapted to a .920in barrel by sacrificing a bit of the taper on the forearm.

I was really fortunate that some members are extremely giving and caring. I owe a lot to a lot of people on this. I cannot say enough how much I appreciate all the help I have received on this. Thanks again.

Ultimate Maple Charger

While working up the project stock I decided to make another stock from Maple and add a little twist to it. This si based off a TH stock that had a cracked butt. Cut it down for the base stock. Really pretty tiger striped maple with great striping so decided to kick it up a notch. I took some Bocote and installed a cap on the grip. Then I decided to try something new. Use an inletted or inlayed piece of Bocote on the spent shell cutout. I inletted the area oversized and carved a piece of Bocote and hand fitted it. Then glued and clamped it.

Several things...this gun morphed several times...
Stock was by C. Gatewood whom stated it was one of 40 that he build...39 of which were shipped to Germany..this one is said to be (but I can't prove that) the only one (originals) in the USA...then I had him Ebony grip cap it...making it even more one-of-a kind.
Tuck added the Molten Magma.

This is truly my dream 10/22. Often once you finish with a build you think if I were to do it over again I'd change this or that. That isn't the case this time. It's everything I wanted and turned out even better than I imagined.

The purpose was to refresh/restore the second gun I ever owned (the first I ever worked to get) as a kid, and pay tribute to the role it played in developing my interests in the outdoors, shooting, hunting, and responsibility of firearm ownership...

The stock: I worked with Claude Gatewood to complete a Thumbhole Varmint design he had been working on. This is the second one he made. After having the prototype turned from one of my blanks and I asked him to find the absolute best Claro Walnut blank with as much flame and marbling figure as he could find. It is gloss finished. The grip cap, forearm tip and buttpad spacer are Ebony.

I would have to say that my biggest point of pride in building this one is it's overall accuracy and accomplishments. The build was an evolution that took 18 months in total, going through four different barrels and a full pillar bedding process before I was happy. It is amazingly accurate, and now only gets shot on more rare occasions kind of like the sports car under the cover in the garage that you don't drive every day...
