I'll probably have to purchase 2 7-2 v5 rifles to meet the 3 rifle requirement. At 850Cd that is not really that bad for these with the better stock. I haven't asked for a quote yet from my FFL importer as I have some time. I would like to start this by the end of June. The more rifles in the buy in the lower the cost to import them,so i'll sit back and see what happens.

Update: I received a confirmation on pricing......7-2v5 @ 850Cd and the 7-4 as follows....

Quote:
Hi Roger,

On 7-4 model our retail price is $1920. Dealer price is $1536. So your
total will be $3236 CAD.

Version 5 is only available in .22LR
In about 10 days I will ask for a quote from my FFL Importer....hopefully just 1 or 2 more individuals will be interested. I am guessing about 200.00 per each to import.....could be + or - just depending on the amount of the order. Payment will be made directly to Interammo for the rifles and then the Import costs would be split between the buyers and paid to the FFL Importer.

Izhmash 7-4

Izhmash 7-2 version 5

New info posted above.

Also I was thinking if there are any RFC Canada members who would be able to join this "buy in" you could get the "buy in" price. I haven't talked to Ben about this but I would think the more the better. If interested please PM me.

OK I have gotten some more interest on importing a few of these rifles. Right now I would order 2 7-2v5's and 1 7-4 I talked to the FFL Importer this morning and he quoted me a guess estimate at about 900 to 1,000 dollars to bring them in that would add 333.00 to each rifle. The cost would then be for the 7-2v5 @ 1163 USD and the 7-4 @ 1838 USD

Interammo would be paid first and then the FFL would be paid when the rifles would be ready to ship to the receiving FFL. I think Ben at Interammo told me payment would be made when the import docs would be approved, that would be about 8 weeks. Once I get the go ahead from the other 2 parties I will start this process in about 2 weeks.

These rifles will cost about retail and since right now they are unavailable I personally think it's worth it.

EXACTLY! You're not paying much more for the 7-2V5 than I did two years ago. Mine cost $800, but there were no additional import costs, as I'm already in Canada.
Considering the V5 comes with five magazines, sights and the same trigger as the 7-3/4 but with a few pounds less weight, $1200 or so is a fair price.
I was more than happy to fork over $800 at the time.
Good to see Ben is giving you a decent price on these so even after the importing is all done, the price isn't exorbitant.

Mine can shoot close to 1/4 inch at 50 with Lapua Club, but I'd like to see 1/2 at 100 yards. I bought the Elite 8-32X40, now I just need some spare time and calm day at the range.

Good luck with your importing and don't buy anything that's not in stock.

MOA you must have read my mind...because I just sent you a PM on this subject.

Thanks,

Did this ever work out? I am curious are I have a few CA/NV friends looking for a 7-4/7-3. Also were these rifles the new type of izhmash stock as in Version 8 or Version 10 of the rifle?

Bummer, do you know which part fell through? LGS/Importer or the guy in Canada at Interammo?
