Super Colobri will get stuck in the barrel. I shot some in my LUX. 10% never made it out of the tube. It made for an interesting time...cleaning rod down the bore every other magazine. CB Longs did much better in that respect (0 stuck), but groups were 2" at 25 yards. My Lux can do high teens and low .2's when I am on my game at that distance. YMMV
A stuck lead bullet is no big deal to push out if you are prepared for it and cautious in your shooting. A good rod and a blunt, flat tipped jag work well . Pistol shooters call that bullet sticking situation a "squib" load and most, as in Bullseye shooting, keep a "squib rod" in their kit. Be aware, not afraid. Those AQs might shoot very nicely for you with little trouble. Wakin
The CCI Quiets are almost noisless in my UL, and they make it out the barrel. The accuracy isn't bad either. The Aguilla Sniper SubSonic works well also, almost noisless. Havn't had any of these two squib. I don't think I'd try the super Colibri's, what would be the benefit? Super Colibri's are not recomended in barrels longer than 16" anyway.
I try almost any ammo. I have shot the super colibri in my ultra lux. not one of them stuck or even came out slow. HOWEVER, the accuracy of this round in this ultra lux was pretty bad. so, don't bother.
as said just before, the cci quiets out of the ultra lux are almost silent and they pack a bit of punch for a low velocity round. while they are quiet and seem pretty tame, they are not to be fooled with. someone should do a ballistic test with them, i figure they would penetrate pretty far.
Hey guys, new 455 Lux owner. Took it out to my club range and fired some different types of ammo including the CCI CB Longs which, at 25 yrds, wasn't bad. I get a lot more inconsistent shots using this ammo out of my Marlin 122. Granted it is 50 years older. My question is for the guys that have shot the LR Quiets and the CB Longs. Any differences such as noise, accuracy, velocity?
