Yes this^^^^.

Remington is operated by "bean counters" not shooters.

It's a shame because shooters can be business savvy people and the reverse
but in Remington's case it's "bottom line" and "profit margin".
Nothing wrong with profit. All businesses and all of us need to make money.

Some of the worse, most inconsistent, least accurate, ammo I've ever used
came from Remington.

A bit of Remington history:
Remington Arms Company, LLC is an American manufacturer of firearms and ammunition in the United States. It was founded in 1816 by Eliphalet Remington in Ilion, New York, as E. Remington and Sons. Remington is America's oldest gun maker and "It's America's oldest factory that still makes its original product-guns."[2] It is the largest U.S. producer of shotguns and rifles. Remington has also developed or adopted more cartridges than any other gun maker or ammunition manufacturer in the world. Additionally its products are distributed in over 60 foreign countries, making its distribution base and availability wider than those of its competitors

I have Remington center fire rifles, .300 Win. Mag., and a host of older
500 series .22 rim fires. Those older 500 series rim fires command a premium
for used rifles.
They were rugged, reliable, accurate. I won't ever part with mine and wish
I had more.
Winchester discontinued more good guns than any other maker ever produced.

I just bought an ISSC Spa 17 and I had a bunch of old ammo from the first days it came out. The Hornady ammo seemed the worse four stuck cases all split so I stopped using it. The CCI ammo, I had one stuck/split case out of 50 and the same with Remington. Need to try some new stuff to see if it was the ammo.
