Same part as used in the MklV. Ruger may be listing it there.

I suspect the OP may have meant what others call the mainspring housing.

If this is the case, Ruger does sell them (here, here, and here), but they are listed as exchange only. Numrich may have something - they used to.

FWIW, as of this AM, Ruger lists no Mark IV parts, just accessories, holsters, etc.

Recoil Spring Assembly

True Ruger no longer sells the MKI, MKII, and MKIII Recoil Spring Assembly along with many other parts that have been dropped. If you don't want to go aftermarket with the Volquartsen recoil assembly I see the factory one on some of the more popular gun auction sites.

What makes you suspect that? The recoil spring assembly goes in the BOLT!

And, before anyone goes off on a "wild-goose" chase, as was suggested above, looking for a recoil spring assembly...............don't bother. Every single one of those are being consumed for the Ruger Mark IV pistols. So, if you don't know who has any, you may be in for a very long wait.

SGW has it correct ....I know the difference between a mainspring housing and a recoil spring assembly. So it looks like none are available from Ruger at present ? I do have 2 new spares I purchased a few years ago but was looking to add a couple more " just in case " . I think I paid $6.50 each at the time.
I have 2 MK II's and a MK III . Also my daughter has a MK III that I keep maintained for her. Since spare parts were readily available and pretty inexpensive I always kept a good stock of "stuff" on hand such as extra springs, pins etc. But I see Ruger no longer offers for sale most of those same items.
About 4 or 5 yrs ago I placed a pretty good sized order for these various parts. I guess that was good thing as I now have enough inventory to maintain what I own for a lifetime .

I also have a spare, but I have never had to replace one. The original has still been in use for 20 years.

Recoil spring assembly

I have had to replace one in my MarkII years ago . Say back in 1994 , the U shaped part , it broke after many late night Friday shooting sessions. After about 30,00 rounds it failed , I was able to order one from brownells along with some springs and the MarkII was back in action . I have in the past called Ruger , give them the serial number of the pistol and they have sent me a replacement part to me in no time .
Now the mainspring housing is a real bear to replace the spring , disassemble the housing in a plastic bag, there's a 7/32 ball bearing that's under a lot of pressure, the bag will keep you from losing it , the ball bearing !! Gallon size freezing bag works the best . That whole assembly is big $$$$ for a new one .
Good luck

Some will be able to, others not so much.

NOTE: Sarona Gun Works LLC is an active, day to day, business. Those who are retired are no longer in touch with some of the issues found these days. I have seen and replaced recoil springs in these older assemblies that have broken into two and three pieces. It's way too early to report on any issues involved with the NEW design, but it will certainly be easier to change those springs.
