I can't figure out how to decock my MKll to break down. Trigger will not work so I wanted to take apart . I cannot remove the mainspring thing on rear of frame. I have put in a couple of Volquartsen kits but I am hung up.
They are not really difficult once you have done one a few times . I have no problem reassembling mine although I still keep a copy of the owners manual handy as I go along . Just follow the directions and you will be okay.
If you want a real challenge to really hang you up have the mainspring housing latch pivot pin (or bolt stop pivot pin) drift over. This will effectively lock in the mainspring assembly. Very rare but happened to me once on a well worn MKII. After I finally figured out what was going on it took over an hour to clear that one.
