A western Field model SB 808M which ( as far as I can tell ) was made by Savage. Got this gun at a good price - gave it to my daughter for her twelve birthday - & it runs just great!!
The tupperware was ditched for a '93 wood stock. It was still butt heavy so I hogged out a cavity in the forend and filled it with .54 cal round balls. A couple of pounds worth. Ahhh balance.
A Rifle Basix sear and a brick or two of Wolf MT and I'm ready for NYSRPA 50' awful hand league.
ok..heres mine...i've had it for a few weeks now, but just havent gottent he pic up till now.
I was only able to find black rings at the time...so i got what was available.....i'm probably too lazy to change them out now...doesnt look that bad anyways
My latest project, my deceased grandfather's old Stevens 86C. The wood was covered in a white film of mold when I rescued it from the back of a closet where it sat for decades untouched. The end result was that the stock is a little more svelte than before, but I think grandad would be impressed:
Bad B,that's a nice mod 12.I just got a 12FV in .223 and that thing can shoot.How's yours?Is that a Zeis on there?Nice!!
If it's not hijacking,May I ask what yours likes as far as loads/ammo?
this is my mark II, tasco bucksight 3-9x40 (really sucks), & rockmount bipod. It is my first rifle and I think it shoots pretty **** good for what I paid. I only use it for plinkin at the range. Here it sits with my S&W MP40
Sorry for the delay in answering you, I don't spend much time in this forum. The Stock is from a 4Deluxe and the barrelled action is from a 4C.
