With my Brownie holster inquiry I almost forgot about this 42B, scope, No4 peep etc.

Lets see how many I can add.

I will leave it at that. Also picked up a few parts but left a few scopes I should have grabbed. - Bill

Nice find ! It's a WWF 45B ?? Stock and rear sight looks different from my S45B.

Marc, it's a 42B or C, has a detachable mag.

I checked the crossover list and see the WWF 45B could be a 42, 42A, or 26C ...interesting.

I,d say early 42B. Stock is inletted for the mag before the mag plate was used.

Sorry everyone I missed typed. 42B it is. I wrote it on my list, in my book and on my bought list but only miss wrote it here. You would think I would have caught that as I have 2 other 42Bs, a 42 and some 42Ms of different lettering. Thanks for catching that - Bill

We got you covered, I noticed the mag right away. That is why I also assumed it was a WWF with the 45B model # listing.

Also a good way to make the slackers pay attention, including me.

Thanks Bill, we are making progress.

Also my access here is still limited, mostly during work hours. I still haven't replaced my computer at home yet and I hate typing on my phone. Short comments are fine.

Was also going to ask, what is the image on the left side of the receiver between the scope mount and peep sight ? Looks like some sort of sticker.

That image is one of the ways our government wrecked the looks of older firearms. When they brought in long arm registration it required a serial number on all firearms. Some owners just electric penned a number on their firearm. The other option was to get these (just as) ugly stickers the government issued. Now if you find an old gun without a serial number it may have been one hidden in a crawl space or attic. Others with out serial numbers were where the owner just held the decals close the the gun in case they were inspected they could quickly put them on. When the long gun registration was discontinued a few years ago the decals and registration were thrown away. - Bill
