I plan on using my build to rimfire some chucks. Preferably a big fat one in late fall (to take to taxidermist).

Have shot a few over the yrs w reg squirrel ammo (HV solids and HP).

Don't these SGB have a flat or something to whop stuff better?
Anybody pop a 15# chuck or coon with one yet?

I figured w a GM barrel I'd be relegated to running Minimags (which doesn't bother me).

Have a 572 I can run Yellowjackets or Stingers in. Just wondering what would work well in a match 10/22 rig.

That first group w/ sgb looks like it would be dead on 1moa @ 35yds which ain't bad at all.

Try SK+, SK magazine, SK rifle match, Wolf MT, Wolf ME, Tac-22.

SK rifle match has out performed all others I have tried (out to 50yds) including some more expensive like Center-X in every one of my 22s long and short ones, with factory barrels and several aftermarket barrels.

Can't judge the ammo by a single group. Typically, if I shoot 4ea 5rd groups at any distance I will have one really good (sub moa), one pretty good (1moa), one not bad (almost 1moa), 1 not very good (1.5moa or worse).

For every 1 incredible group I get one seriously awful group. Usually on the same 4grp card.

That is all with same ammo at the same time with same conditions and the biggest variable is usually ME.

Tac-22 has been consistently good out to 50yds and has performed better than all others at 100yds for me.

Here is a factory stock carbine with a trigger job and some bedding with SK+

This is the same action in a DSP stock with SK Rifle Match. Trust me that you can't conclude that the better groups are ammo or stock or both. Could be neither. Years apart. I was a better shot then. I think. Not sure.

Rifle named ‘Cheekbone’ for the diy cheek rest that is molded to fit the cheekbone.

25yard target
