Sorry, new to the 10/22 myself, but how hard it is to change it out to a bull barrel? Is it just a matter of ordering one and assembling, or would you need some modifications done?

Assuming the stock is designed to fit a bull barrel, it's generally as simple is unfastenimg and refastening a screw.

Work? Only if you don't intend on buying a new stock to accommodate it. Otherwise, if you have a wood stock you'll have to shape it to fit.

For a range, bench, or still hunting gun get what you think is cool. For a practical packing, hunting gun get the tapered barrel. I have the 16.5 in tapered barrel with the threaded barrel. I put Tech Sights on it and love it. Light, accurate, packable, and fun.

I just got my 10/22TD heavy barrel. I am generally impressed with the rifle.

My one question is what scope and mount fits on the rifle in the case? The top of the receiver is against the side of the case. It needs a scope because there is no open sight.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

I have a Vortex Diamondback 4-12 with UTG medium height rings on one, and a Vortex Crossfire II 2-7 on another also with UTG medium height rings. They both clear the BB and still fit in the TD bag, barely.
